A small spark of interest inspired Julie to build her first mesh wreath in 2014. By the end of that same year Julie had made over a dozen wreaths for family members and friends as gifts and favors. To her surprise, people started putting in orders and offering to pay her to make custom wreaths, ranging from custom holiday wreaths to custom sports team wreaths. Julie has continued making custom wreaths since. At the beginning of 2017, Julie and her husband Casey decided to entertain the entrepreneurial fire that was growing within them and launched My Wonderful Wreaths. Although it was a slow start, getting overwhelmed at times on how to reach their market and scale the business, Julie continued to enhance the quality of her wreaths, gain techniques from workshops, books, and online tutorials, and grow the wreath offering to cover every occasion. Now, with over 100 wreaths on her resume, Julie has now came upon a time in life that gives her the time to focus on her business, and Casey finishing up his Masters degree, the husband and wife team set an aggressive goal... “to be the custom mesh wreath source for Southern Utah”. The 2018 year is expected to be the biggest year for My Wonderful Wreaths to date, with plans to have wreaths for every season and holiday, along with a growing list of specialty wreaths. My Wonderful Wreaths is working towards gaining a following on social media, host wreath building workshops, build an interactive custom wreath building website, and have a presence in the Southern Utah Craft show scene.
